Lawn Renovation

For lawns that need more than a quick improvement.

The diagnosis

Renovation is for lawns where no single fix will hold: thin turf over compacted soil, thatch chokepoints, uneven surface, weeds filling the gaps. Patching one symptom at a time wastes money in the wrong order. A renovation sequences the fixes so each one sets up the next.

Method & materials

A customized process that can combine dethatching, core aeration, top dressing, overseeding, and soil improvement.

The sequence is the product: dethatch to open the canopy, core aerate to break compaction, level and top dress to correct the surface and feed the soil, then overseed into ideal contact. Materials follow the same logic as our leveling and top-dressing work — chosen per lawn.

What to expect after

The first month looks rough and then it turns. Keep seed moist, stay off the surface, and skip the first weeks of mowing. By the second season the difference is structural, not cosmetic: better roots in better soil on a better grade.

Common questions

How much does lawn leveling cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the lawn, the amount of material required, access, and the severity of the unevenness. Request a quote for an accurate estimate. It only takes a few minutes.
What is top dressing?
Top dressing is the application of a thin layer of material across the lawn to help smooth the surface and improve soil conditions.
Can you fix a severely bumpy lawn?
In many cases, yes. The best approach depends on the severity of the problem and may include leveling, grading, top dressing, or full lawn renovation.
